Job Responsibilities

Develops and enhances product modifications, model changes, and new product implementation, while driving cost reduction activities throughout related departments. Manages and provides technical support to Engineering staff to complete projects in a timely manner.  

 

  • Development products with NML following Nissan Forklift Commercialization Process. Prepare or direct preparation of documents for Nissan Forklift Commercialization Process.
  • Work effectively with Test and Engineering Services to keep development on schedule.  
  • Work with Purchasing to reduce costs and enhance Engineering cost reductions. Drives cost reduction activities with related departments.
  • Manages and implements model changes.
  • Reduce Warranty costs by identifying root cause of the issue and providing technical solutions when necessary.  
  • Manages and supports direct reports to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates with other departments to have a smooth transition of product model modifications.
  • Completion of timely review, analyses and appropriate dispositions of all assigned Suggestions.
  • Work to utilize the "Nissan Way" in daily operations.
  • Utilize the " V-UP" program to cross functionally improved processes with the company.
  • Coordinates and conducts staff performance reviews; approves individual staff goals & objectives and establishes training objectives.
  • Responsible for Departmental Financial Plan including expense and capital budgets, and continually monitors for adherence to the KPI.
  • Always acts in a professional and courteous manner, representing NFC's highest standards of business conduct; exhibits a positive attitude, sharing information with co-workers as appropriate and works to promote a cooperative, productive teamwork environment.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Design, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum seven years in engineering design, modification, and administration, with at least five years of supervisory experience preferably in a forklift or related industry including automotive or heavy industrial equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Must possess the ability to handle difficult and demanding situations and multiple priorities. Requires good verbal and written communications skills along with a demonstrated teamwork attitude. 

Technical Skills:

  • Minimum Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • MAC PAC and Engineering software experience.
