Principal Objective:

Increase UniCarriers NPD Launch Pipeline performance and capacity to accelerate delivery of New Products while improving adherence to standards and practices required for coordination between multiple global development and functional partners. Support the successful delivery of PDM programs undertaken by UCA through effective leadership, facilitation, tracking and reporting. 

Job Description:

  • This role will be responsible for managing all UCA external product and business development projects, developing resource plans to support UCA's active projects, and leading UCA's process improvement activities, including defining the deliverables to support our new StageGate process.
  • Lead and assist with project documentation, project planning and data gathering to support implementation of strategic objectives and tactical initiative as directed by UCA's management.
  • Create various reports and presentations to UCA's executive management on project details/status and corporate KPIs.
  • Manage multiple New Product Development Launch Projects.
  • Act as a key source of documentation, guidance and metrics on the practice of Project Management and execution.
  • Assist the Director, Corporate Planning in the management of key initiatives and programs supporting the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Track and report on project portfolio performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all projects.
  • Provide assistance to maintain and update the project management framework and disciplines necessary to support the commercialization process.
  • Develop positive relationships with managers and staff to enable the Cross Functional Teams' success by providing support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects and training.
  • Assist in managing enterprise level resource allocation, including adjustments based on emerging business or technical opportunities and challenges.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across programs, building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels.
  • Support the creation and improvement of processes, procedures and tools to support the management of UCA's commercial projects.
  • Understand the deliverables of internal and external PMO customers and contribute to success through cooperative and collegial processes.
  • Develop and maintain a basic understanding of customer policies and procedures as relevant to processes (particularly the New Product Development Commercialization Process).
  • Provide leadership to reporting management team so that measurable results are achieved on time.
  • Ensures assigned departments' operating principles meet customer requirements and enhance overall UCA financial performance.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a Program Management and/or New Product Development role.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a project management related role with responsibility for successful completion of enterprise level projects.
  • Minimum of 10 years of business experience with involvement in projects with significant R&D and/or Engineering components desired.
  • Marketing and corporate product management experience desired.
  • Requires outstanding verbal and written communications skills along with a demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • B.S./B.A. Degree required. MS/MBA preferred.
